Trevi Fountain
Trevi Fountain (Italian: Fontana di Trevi) stands on the site of an ancient Roman fountain that has been in use since 19BC. A rudimentary fountain primarily for the public use was in place until 1751 however Pope Urban VIII commissioned Bernini to produce sketches for a grand fountain in 1621. After over a century and quarter the fountain was finally completed in it's present state by Giuseppe Pannini Today the fountain stands in central Rome a few blocks from the Coliseum.
